The African International Congress – a permanent platform for the development of business and humanitarian cooperation, public diplomacy, working dialogue of the business community of the African continent, strengthening close cooperation of African countries with Russia and the countries of Eurasia.

African International Congress

Date and Location of the Congress
The second congress will be held on May 28, 2024,
in the city of St. Petersburg, Tchaikovsky St., 46-48
(St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry)

Goals of the Congress

  • Strengthening peace and friendship among nations;
  • Developing business and humanitarian cooperation, as well as public diplomacy;
  • Enhancing trade and economic exchanges, creating an active dialogue within the business communities of African countries, and fostering closer cooperation between African countries, Russia, and Eurasian countries;
  • Promoting expanded contacts in the fields of culture, education, and sports between African countries and Russia.

Congress Organizers

The congress is organized by a committee comprising African public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps of African countries, leaders in public diplomacy, heads of African diasporas in Russia and the CIS, heads of business associations, international business corporations, and prominent figures in science, culture, and education.

Results of the First African International Congress (April 5, 2024, Moscow)

According to the Congress Organizing Committee,
the following projects have been selected for priority implementation:
Opening of the House of Africa in Moscow;
Creation of an electronic encyclopedia "Afroinfo";
Establishment of direct flights between Moscow and the capitals of African states;
Creation of a system for direct bank settlements between Russian and African banks;
Formation of an investment and construction company pool for projects in Africa;
Development of the "African Small Energy" power grid;
Opening of an International African University;
Organization of the "African Village" project in Russia (creating African-style country settlements in the Moscow and Tver regions);
Hosting the "Afrostar" car rally;
Organizing "Russian Cultural Seasons in Africa";
Conducting the Young African Leaders Forum;
Producing Russian-African cinema: a feature film about Patrice Lumumba and films about other African historical figures;
Establishment of the "Afronews" media network
